Embed Installs Systems in Dubai Mall's Attractions
December 2008 - EMBED, a leading provider of Debit Card and Point of Sale Systems for the amusement and
leisure industry, is pleased to announce the successful installation of Embed Systems in the massive Dubai
Mall Retail and Entertainment project. Embed's Point-of-Sale and Admissions Systems have been installed in
the Mall's Aquarium and Ice Rink attractions plus have been deployed throughout the Mall's numerous customer
information kiosks.
Emaar Mall's, which owns and operates the Dubai Mall and Attractions, selected Embed for the project
for it's ability to deliver a totally integrated solution across the Mall, all backed up by Embed's local
service network. Emaar have also chosen Embed to supply the complete Debit Card, Point-of-Sale and Facility
Management Solution for it's Sega branded Entertainment Center which is due to open in the first quarter of
2009.
The Dubai Mall is one of the world's largest shopping and entertainment centres, and the Dubai Aquarium
is a center piece attraction within the mall. The Aquarium itself features the worlds largest aquarium
viewing window. Embed systems have been installed to manage the Point-of-Sale and admissions through the
walk through observation tunnel and Discovery Centre within the Aquarium.
The Dubai Ice Rink is an Olympic sized facility within the Mall which utilizes Embed systems to manage
admissions, Point-of-Sale, equipment rental and event scheduling. The Mall Attractions and Customer Service
Points throughout the Mall are all designed to be networked together allowing for seamless integration
between all the facilities.
General Manager for Embed's Middle East office, Mr Luke McKimmie stated that "Emaar's choice and deployment

In September 2008 Embed opened a dedicated support office in Sharjah UAE to deliver local sales and support
services to it's growing list of Middle East customers.
